Jesus Has a Secret Message Hidden in Your Scary Dream!
I used to have the worst recurring dream ever! I dreamt that I was trapped in this house that looked very familiar to my own home at the time. In the dream, I was being hunted by a serial killer, and I was constantly trying to run away from him to find a place to hide. None of the doors would lock or close properly and the doors and windows leading outside were completely stuck!
Night after night, I would dream of hiding in a bathroom, behind the toilet, in the shower, or running into my bedroom to dive under the bed… and I would always wake up right before or as the killer found me. Finally, I had enough of these recurring dreams and asked my mother, Apostle Colette, what they could possibly mean. I really desired to have a full night’s sleep without waking up from an adrenaline rush.
After taking a moment to seek the Lord, considering the dream category and symbols presenting themselves, she informed me that this dream is speaking of a fear that I am running away from. However, all I needed to do was turn around and face this fear of mine. Honestly, I didn’t know what fear I was running from, but just having the dream interpreted so simply and clearly, I felt the shackles on my heart fall away and I knew I wanted to interpret dreams just like that. I wanted to interpret dreams in such a way that the shackles would fall from the wrists and hearts of God’s people; that they would no longer walk in the bondage of what their dream may or may not mean.
So, today I want to peel the curtain back on the mystery of dream interpretation. There are many books and courses out there, but dream interpretation is something everyone can do, and you do not even have to be an expert to do it. As long as you love Jesus, want to have a relationship with Him, and have access to a bible, you can be a dream expert who sets people free, too!
At its core, dream interpretation is merely decoding a message from the Lord and delivering it to the dreamer. So, start by getting yourself out of the way, and focus on the dreamer. What are they going through in their life at the moment? What struggles are they facing or praying about?
Once you know that, getting wisdom for the interpretation will make much more sense, as God always talks to the person about whatever they are going through at the time of having the dream, or, wants to prepare them to take action. Find the core symbols (max 3-4)! They will be very specific to the person and what they are going through. The symbols will be a person (what does that person represent to them?), an action, an emotion, location, or object.
Finally, seek the Lord for wisdom and the interpretation. It is His message at the end of the day and He will give you the steps to follow to decode His message. The interpretation should always produce faith, hope, love, give direction, and minister to the dreamer.
Give these tips a try! No one is perfect. All that matters is that you did it in love and to set someone free!
